Korrilla Hearthflame is a Gold Dwarf NPC who appears in Baldur's Gate 3. She is one of Raphael's agents and observant players, or players who choose certain actions, may encounter her in Act 1 and Act 2. She can later be found in Sharess' Caress and the House of Hope during Act Three.
Interactions
Korrilla's behavior during Acts One and Two is not typical of most NPCs in Baldur's Gate 3, due to he nature as an agent of Raphael. If she spots the player getting too close to her, she will disappear, with the player character making a remark about a "bizarre" smell of sulphur. If the player can get close enough without being detected, it is possible to pickpocket her for some common items and a small amount of gold, or trigger two lines of dialogue before she disappears.
Act One
If the player is captured by Gut, Korrilla will stab the Goblin as she's about to kill the player, killing her instantly. She will then free the player and reveal Raphael sent her. She will then tell the player to watch their back, as Raphael is not always going to be around to save them.
Regardless of if you have interacted with Korrilla before, she can briefly be found at the Campsite, during the 'Celebrate at Camp' stage of the Save the Refugees Quest. Shortly after the party starts, Korrilla appears to teleport into the northern part of the camp and can briefly be found sneaking around, near where Gale is camped, before disappearing.
Act Two
Korilla can briefly be seen spying on the player at the gates of the Mason's Guild. She will teleport away quickly when the player gets too near her. It is possible to trigger a brief dialogue if the player is fast enough.Tr-tread carefully. You are still necessary. She will teleport away if the player attempts to attack, preventing all damage.
Act Three
She can be spotted and briefly talked to in the Circus of the Last Days, between the tents near Lucretious and Popper. Later on, the player will finally introduce herself on the first floor of Sharess' Caress, her only relatively permanent location. After explaining her role under Raphael, she will inform the player that Raphael has been expecting them upstairs.
If the player chooses to enter the House of Hope, she can be found next to the Archivist in the Archive. Korilla will provide some background information on her sister, Hope, explaining that Raphael once offered them power but only she accepted it while Hope was tortured for refusing. After the conversation, Korilla will teleport away.
If the player steals the Orphic Hammer and attempts to leave the House of Hope, then Korrilla will appear alongside Raphael and Yurgir to stop them. The player can ask her to betray Raphael but she will always refuse and has no dialogue check to be convinced otherwise.
Her low level and hit points make it easy to kill her, accidentally or otherwise, prompting Hope to mourn her sister when the fight is over. Recruiting Yurgir to your side makes this more likely, as he's uncontrollable and likely to target her with sweeping area attacks. It is possible to avoid killing Korrilla by knocking her out via
or other means of crowd control. In this case, Hope will be happy about Korrilla's survival.
