Crimson Draughts is a Location within Lower City in Act Three of Baldur's Gate 3. It is an apotecary belonging to Araj Oblodra and can be found directly south of Bloomridge Park and east of The Blushing Mermaid.

Overview

Crimson Draughts' is an apothecary, owned and run by Araj Oblodra Araj Oblodra, before she travelled to Moonrise Towers to assist in the Absolute's efforts. If Araj was is given blood during Act Two, she will be at her store experimenting, and will be available to trade with. Otherwise, it will be abandoned.

The upper floor has a key to the basement lab, and the lower floor has a workbench with some alchemical ingredients.

Sanguine Laboratory

Through a locked hatch on the lower-level is Araj's laboratory, holding the unlucky remnants of her research for restoring House Oblodra.

The northern room is a small makeshift cell, containing a dead giant spider and three skeletons.

To the east is Araj's laboratory proper. A trip-wire is hidden just in front of the door, which sets off two gas pits. Inside are several piles of gore, butchered remains, and the festering corpse of a Spectator. Her lab is also still well-stocked with alchemical ingredients, and a mind flayer parasite can be found on the stone slab directly in front of the entrance.

List of interactions

If Araj was given blood in Act Two:

  • As the party approaches the store, Araj's experiments will set off an explosion, setting her on fire and forcing her to evacuate.
  • Araj will offer the player character a new formula to drink, which will grant the permanent passive feature Unstable Blood Unstable Blood.
  • If the player donates blood a second time after Araj asks, she will give them a Sanguine Explosive. Afterwards, the player can donate once per long rest and Araj will stock two explosives in her store.
