Voiceless Penitent Bareki is a trader encountered in Baldur's Gate 3 during Act Three. As his title implies, he is completely silent and does not have any dialogue during his interactions.
He can be found in the Undercity Ruins at X: -157 Y: 939, near the Undercity Ruins Ancient Rune Circle in the Lower City Sewers.
History
Bareki was once one of the finest thieves in the city, running with Sarin and Aelis Siryasius.[1] The three of them managed to break into Enver Gortash's office, where they discovered that he was in league with the Absolute.[1] In retaliation, they were hunted by the Absolute, and were forced to flee into the city sewers.[1] While in hiding, the three each became "strange", Sarin hiding their treasure, Bareki going mute, and Aelis becoming paranoid.
