Lae'zel/Approval
Overview | Approval | Disapproval | Banter | Location Remarks | Romance |
Lae'zel prefers direct (if sometimes rude and harsh) approach in interacting with everyone around.
She approves firm-handed leadership and domination, manifests of bravery and self-denial in the name of common good. She is not interested in wasting any time to get rid of the tadpole infection, more so that she knows the one and only correct solution to the problem. Lastly, Lae'zel favors choosing cool-minded practical options over the ones that come from emotions and passions. The only exception to this are the player's decisions that somehow concern the githyanki culture, customs and religion.
The story and dialogue choices listed on this page raise Lae'zel's approval.
All entries for approval values shown on this page come directly from official in-game dialogue files as of Patch 7. However, in any given playthrough, specific approval changes may not trigger for several reasons, primarily among them: installed mods, a game bug, or the companion character already being at maximum approval. |
For more information about the approval system, see Approval.

Notes[edit | edit source]
- ↑ Game files provide various approval rewards for different options during Lae'zel's recruitment scene when the Tieflings have her in a cage. However, as Lae'zel is not a party member until after this scene, they cannot be gained.
- ↑ The same game file, HAG_GurHunter_OM_Astarion_COM, provides (+1) for betraying Astarion's identity in a second conversation as long as Astarion was present for the first. However, in this situation, the conversation that plays is instead HAG_GurHunter, which does not grant aproval for this same dialogue.[Needs Verification]
- ↑ 3.0 3.1 Technically, some events at the Mountain Pass and in the Crèche Y'llek add entries (and therefore approval) both to Lae'zel's Companion quest AND to local quests. These entries have been moved to the "Companion Quest" section and are not doubled here to avoid redundancy.
- ↑ 4.0 4.1 Game files provide various approval rewards for interactions with the Dream Guardian when alone with them on the Astral Plane, whether in dreams or not. However, as none of companions accompany the avatar at these moments, they cannot be gained.[Needs Verification]
- ↑ Game files provide (+3) approval points for agreeing to fight her in the first place. However, as Lae'zel is removed from the party for the fight, they cannot be gained.
