Persuasion

Persuasion is a Charisma-based Skill used almost exclusively for dialogue Ability Checks. Persuasion also affects the prices offered by Traders alongside their Attitude value towards the hero talking to them.

Proficiency[edit | edit source]

Characters who are proficient in Persuasion can add their Proficiency Bonus when making Ability checks.

The following backgrounds grant proficiency in Persuasion:

The following classes can choose to select Persuasion as a proficient skill at Level 1:

Warlocks who choose the Beguiling Influence Beguiling Influence Eldritch Invocation gain proficiency in Persuasion and Deception.

Characters who take the Illithid power Illithid Expertise gain expertise (and proficiency) in Persuasion, Deception, or Intimidation checks.
