Mirie is a Sharran Fidelian that manages the front desk at the House of Grief during Act Three.

Involvement

Act Three

Main article: Investigate the House of Grief

When approached, Mirie asks the party if they are here to become Unburdened. She senses that the party needs help and recommends The Unburdening to ease them of their woes. If passing a DC 10 Insight check, the party determines that she genuinely wants to help but there may be caveats:

To become Unburdened, the party must pay 1,000 gold. Mirie will then lead them through the locked doors to the Mapping Room.

After killing or banishing Viconia, Mirie communicates with the player and remains neutral, but does not trade with him. But if you then free or kill Shadowheart's parents, Mirie and 3 shar followers next to her become aggressive and attack the player's party.

Shadowheart specific interactions

If Shadowheart is in the party, Mirie recognizes her and greets her differently depending on her choice to reject or embrace Shar in  The Chosen of Shar. Shadowheart states that she wants to see the Mother Superior, but Mirie interjects that she must submit to a Mapping of the Heart first. Mirie then leads the party to the Mapping Room without requiring a fee.

 Beckoning Darkness ()

Curse a creature to be haunted by darkness. It takes 2d8Necrotic damage if it enters or starts its turn in a Lightly or Heavily Obscured area.

 Range: 4 m / 13 ft

 Bone Chill ()

1d8 (1~8) Necrotic

Prevent the target from healing until your next turn. An undead target receives Disadvantage on Attack rolls.

 Range: 18 m / 60 ft

 Darkness ()

Create a cloud of magical darkness that  Heavily Obscures and inflicts  Blind to creatures within. Creatures cannot make ranged attacks into or out of it.

 Range: 18 m / 60 ft

 Shadow Step ()

Teleport from shadow to shadow. Afterwards, you have Advantage on your next melee Attack roll.
