Malek is usually busy working on his next scoop in the writer's room of the Baldur's Mouth. He is somewhat paranoid, because he has a strong desire to find the truth. The editor in chief Ettvard Needle considers him 'unhinged' enough to consider firing him while Churg Elvek praises him for telling the truth.
If Ettvard is killed, Malek Stones will be promoted to editor in chief. If Malek Stones is also killed, then a new NPC called Syril Valdemar will take their place after a long rest.
