It's possible to avoid the fight for a while by picking up the chest without opening it - you can even send it to camp if you wish. If at any point you open the chest, the [[Cursed Imp]] will swpan where the chest used to be.

The Lustrous Lass is a Location within the Lower City in Act Three of Baldur's Gate 3. It is a ship docked at the Grey Harbour docks in the Lower City at X: -181 Y: -231. The crew is dead and the air is thick with Sea Plague Sea Plague.
"WARNING. PLAGUE RISK. DO NOT ENTER. This ship is under strict quarantine until further notice"

Overview

Access

The ship can be accessed via the Counting House or the Water Queen's House, and a sign on the latter's side indicates that it's under quarantine for said plague.

Reading the lore books found on the crew's bodies reveals that the ship was cursed by the Gloom Crone from Crone Island.

Sea plague

The crew of the Lustrous Lass was felled by the Sea Plague infesting the ship. Any character traversing the ship must pass a DC 20 Constitution check or become inflicted as well. The condition is a disease and will persist until cured by magic or a Long Rest.
