Lower City
Devil's Fee Forge of the Nine
Bonecloak's Apothecary
The Devil's Fee is a Location within the Lower City in Act Three of Baldur's Gate 3. It is found at X: -39 Y: -13 and is owned by Helsik Helsik.

Overview[edit | edit source]

There are all sorts of devilish artifacts and curios on display around the store. If engaging Helsik in combat, she will summon Gilded Imps and Gilded Minotaurs to assist her.

Locations[edit | edit source]

Basement[edit | edit source]

The Devil's Fee has a basement that can be accessed either from a hatch on the first floor, or by breaking down a wall in the basement of the Forge of the Nine.

Upper floor[edit | edit source]

The upper floor of the store is Helsik's private quarters and living space, which are not accessible to the public.

The entrance is protected by a warding glyph trap. This can be disarmed by giving water to the gargoyle on the side of the wall. If triggering the glyph trap, the gargoyle mocks the party. This floor can also be accessed by jumping, flying or otherwise travelling onto the balcony on the western side of the building.

The upstairs of the Devil's Fee has a heptagram (a seven-point star) drawn in blood on the floor. Depending on the party's progress of Free Orpheus Free Orpheus they can initiate a dialogue with Helsik to give (or sell) them the supplies and instruction to open a portal to the House of Hope. Alternatively the grimoire and necessary reagents for the ritual can be found around the Devil's Fee.

  • The Coin of Mammon can be found in a chest next to Helsik's bed.
  • Infernal Marble can be found in a chest upstairs and in the basement of the Devil's Fee.
  • Diamonds can be found upstairs in a chest.
  • The skull can be purchased from Helsik, or there is one inside the coffin at the NW corner of the room with the pentagram.
  • Incense can be found on the table to the side of the south balcony door.
  • The grimoire can be pickpocketed from Helsik.

Roof[edit | edit source]

The roof can be accessed via a balcony on the upper floor. Tara Tara or a smattering of pigeon feathers can be found here.

Notable characters[edit | edit source]

Related quests[edit | edit source]

Notable loot[edit | edit source]

Initially Helsik only sells dyes, scrolls, potions, and alchemy ingredients. Some additional items can be accessed by passing DC 15 Arcana checks to identify some of the items displayed around the shop. Karlach has a DC 0 instead. Afterwards, a new dialogue option with Helsik is unlocked that allows to see all the items that she is selling.
