Elifer

Harper Elifer is a wood elf ranger who is part of the Harpers in Act Two. She guards the entrance to the Last Light Inn, stopping and questioning any newcomers that happen to arrive in front of the sanctuary.

Involvement

Last Light Inn

Elifer can be first encountered at the Last Light Inn, where she guards the entrance to the sanctuary and main plaza from behind the main barricade, below Terradissia and a few steps away from Darragh. She is typically the first Harper within the inn proper to interact with the party.

If the party saved Lassandra, Karrow, or Meygan from a Shadow ambush by going into the Shadow-Cursed Lands through the Grymforge lift, following them to Last Light Inn has the party's arrival be met with distrust from Elifer; the surviving Harpers attempt to vouch for the party, though it has little effect on the following conversation afterward as Elifer calls on Jaheira to interrogate the new arrivals. The same series of events happen even if the party comes to Last Light Inn through the Mountain Pass, with Elifer stopping the party and calling on Jaheira for further interrogation.

When Jaheira sizes up the party, Elifer attempts to interfere, but is immediately silenced when the High Harper looks her way. Elifer does not react in the party's defence when Jaheira  entangles the party, instead pulling her crossbow out at the ready.

If the Tiefling refugees didn't make it to Last Light, Marcus can instead come to the party's rescue. If the party exposes Marcus as a True Soul, Elifer is  Stunned and joins the fight against his summoned Crawling Claws.

Resolve the Abduction

When Flaming Fist Marcus attacks the inn and attempts to kidnap Isobel during Resolve the Abduction, Elifer often fails the save and is  Impaled for the remainder of the battle. If failing to protect Isobel, she and everyone in Last Light Inn turn into a  Shadow-Cursed Undead, save for Jaheira.

Assault Moonrise Towers

Main article: Infiltrate Moonrise Towers

If the party prevents Marcus from capturing Isobel at the Last Light Inn and the Nightsong is freed from her cage and heads for Moonrise, Elifer follows Jaheira to Moonrise Towers. However, Elifer is killed during the fight against Absolute forces before the party arrives. Her corpse can be found a few steps past the Moonrise Towers main entrance, before the steps leading down to the main battle.

 Ensnaring Strike ()

Normal weapon damage Your attack summons thorny vines, dealing Weapon Damage and possibly Ensnaring your target. Ensnared creatures cannot move and take 1d6Piercing damage at the start of each turn. An ally can use their Help Action to try and tear away the vines.

Normal weapon damage

Deal regular damage and possibly inflict  Gaping Wounds which cause extra damage on attacks.

Undead and Constructs can't receive Gaping Wounds.

Normal weapon damage

Stab an enemy and possibly inflict  Gaping Wounds.

• Elifer wears a set of armor identical to the Scale Mail, but with less saturated Harper colours.
