Stealth is a Skill based on Dexterity. It helps you with staying hidden from enemies or other NPCs.

Stealth Checks benefit from your Dexterity Modifier, and if you have Proficiency in Stealth, also from your Proficiency Bonus.

Proficiency

Characters who are proficient in Stealth can add their Proficiency Bonus when making Ability checks.
