Performance is a Charisma Skill.

The higher your Charisma Score, the more likely you will succeed on Performance Checks.

Proficiency

Characters who are proficient in Performance can add their Proficiency Bonus when making Ability checks.

The following backgrounds grant proficiency in Performance:

The following classes can choose to select Performance as a proficient skill at Level 1:

Characters who take the Actor feat gain Expertise (and Proficiency) in Performance and Deception.

Uses

  • Used in dialogue.
  • Characters who are proficient in Performance can Perform Perform with a instrument, which requires passing a Performance check.
