Githyanki are a playable race in Baldur's Gate 3.

Githyanki are peerless warriors from the Astral Plane, known for their legendary silver blades and red dragon mounts. They seek the total destruction of Mind Flayers, whose ancient empire enslaved the Githyanki for millennia.

As time does not pass in their native Astral Plane, Githyanki are instead hatched from eggs all across realmspace in places called crèches. Crèches act as hatcheries, training grounds, and shelters outside of the Astral Plane.

Githyanki are ruled by their lich queen Vlaakith and led in battle by her dragon-riding knights, the Kith'rak.

Racial Traits

Base Racial Speed: 9 m / 30 ft
Astral Knowledge: Gain Proficiency in all Skills corresponding to a chosen Ability ( Recharge: Long rest)
Githyanki Psionics: You gain access to the following Spells:
- Cantrip: Mage Hand (Character level 1). Your Mage Hand is invisible when cast via Githyanki Psionics.
- 1st Level Spell: Enhance Leap (Character level 3) Recharge: Long rest
- 2nd Level Spell: Misty Step (Character level 5) Recharge: Long rest
Martial Prodigy: You gain Proficiency in the following:
- Light armour, Medium armour
- Shortswords, Longswords, Greatswords
