History is an Intelligence Skill.
The higher your Intelligence Score, the more likely you will succeed on History Checks.
Proficiency
Characters who are proficient in History can add their Proficiency Bonus when making Ability checks.
The following backgrounds grant proficiency in History:
The following classes can choose to select History as a proficient skill at Level 1:
Rock Gnomes add twice their Proficiency Bonus to History checks.
Rangers who choose as a Favoured Enemy gain proficiency in History.
Knowledge Domain Clerics can choose to gain proficiency in History at Level 1. If chosen, they can add double their Proficiency Bonus when making History checks.
