Jaheira favors direct approaches and is not interested in flattery. She loves snarky jokes even at her own expense. She approves of good deeds no matter how small they are.
Greetings
Depending on their approval rating, Jaheira may greet the player with:
Negative (<0):
- "Speak, so long as you have something sensible to say."
- "What."
Neutral and Medium (0 - 39):
- "Speak."
- "Yes?"
- "Well - are we ready for the road once more?" (in camp)
High (40+):
- "The cub speaks."
- "What is it, cub?"
Approval
The following story and dialogue choices will cause Jaheira to gain approval.
Act Two

Act Three
Act 3 Spoilers! This section reveals details about the story of Baldur's Gate 3.
Talking to Yenna:
At the Requisitioned Barn:
- Tell Mattis to watch himself when he remarks how big Baldur's Gate is. +1
- Donate 500 gold for refugees to Manip Nestor. +1
At the Angleiron's Cellar:
- Tell Wulbren that you are convinced and to give you the bomb or reason with the Gondians. +1
- If contacting the Gondians, accept the bomb anyway. +1
Dealing with Orin's guises:
- If Orin is impersonating Fist Rowan, tell her that one can't just kill innocent people +1
- OR Tell her that you're going to report to the commanding officer +1
- OR, Playing as The Dark Urge, tell her that mindless slaughter is not the answer +1
- If Orin is impersonating Gyldro Angleiron, tell her you would never kill someone you cared about. +1
▶ Note: When playing as Karlach or Wyll origin, this option will have an unique formulation, but still take its place (line 3)
- Playing as The Dark Urge, tell her that you do all you can to keep your loved ones safe from your blade
- Try to help the Dying Stone Lord Thug. +1
▶ Note: This option is available only if Orin is not impersonating the Thug
At the Sword Coast Couriers and kennels:
- Tell Commander Lightfeather that his soldiers fought to the last feather against a truly formidable foe.
- Make Angry Mar'hyah to let you keep Scratch, using Persuasion or Intimidation. +1
- Then force Mar'hyah to leave the kennels via Deception or Intimidation. +1
At the Open Hand Temple:
- Offer to help Sister Yannis investigate Brilgor's death and prove his innocence. +1
- Agree to bear the curse and withstand Monk Manifestation's madness. +3
- Tell Tara to stop eating the carrier pigeons.
Watching Dribbles's in the Circus of the Last Days:
- Yell 'Boo! Get off the stage!' OR say 'What a corny joke' +1 (either)
- OR Playing as a Bard, interrupt him with your own pun +1
- Volunteer any companion to the stage as an assistant to Dribbles, except Jaheira herself +1, and then cheer them, saying 'Go on!' +1
- If going on stage yourself, say you're special because you treat the people around you with kindness. +1
Elsewhere:
- Tell Tinker Nayzeem that the way people treat refugees is terrible. +1
- Tell Saer Grotpoll that his own accent sounds more Rivingtonian than Baldurian +1
▶ Note: This option is available only if your character is a Baldurian themselves, or has successfully deceived Grotpoll into believing so, if they're not
- As a Ranger, tell Fortuno Dibbs to relax for Biscotti.
- Consent to be arrested by the Steel Watcher at the gate between Rivington and Wyrm's Crossing.
- Refuse to deliver the gnome leader's head to Manip Falcäo +1
- At Carm's Garm, tell Naaber "Correct. But nobody likes Naaber", when he's pretending to be a dog.
- At Fraygo's Flophouse , Agree withAdventurer Drim that people don't respect adventurers anymore.
- Get into Wyrm's Rock via the gate by either: showing the Admission Pass, getting Investigator Valeria's permission, passing a persuasion check and bribing the guard, or passing certain class-related checks. +1
- Succeed an Insight check when meeting Geraldus and attack or wait for Jaheira's signal. +2
- Successfully probe Jaheira's thoughts for directions when talking to Harper Chelvin.
- Choose the Sorcerer dialogue option after succeeding the Insight check
- Take Geraldus's side after the fight. +10
- Agree to find Minsc right away. +2
At the Flaming Fist quarters:
- Convince the Flaming Fist quartermaster Arkleia Oloril to trade with you. +1
- When confronting Fist Reynash in the Flaming Fist barracks:
- After waking the guards, regardless if you succeeded a check to discover Reynash's thieving attempt or not:
At the Audience Hall:
- Pass the Steel Watcher that confronts you at the coronation +1
- When asked your opinion about the Steel Watch, tell Lord Amber's Bodyguard and the attendants of Lady Durinbold and Lord Shattershield:
- You have seen the army of the Absolute and no where's safe - Steel Watch or not. +1
- You should not trust the Steel Watchers because they will turn on everyone. +1
- After coronation, talk to Duke Ravengard and ask what has befallen the city's great hero. (a Baldurian option)
- Then probe Ravengard's mind to discover Florrick's location and tell him that Gortash is a tyrant +1
- When talking with Nine-Fingers Keene the first time, say you are Jaheira's friend, OR say you came for the food, OR that you're exploring the local sewer-life. +2
- Then tell Keene that Jaheira is not alone, OR ask her if she really thinks that this will stop Jaheira, OR tell her you can handle it. +2
- Make Tut Thistlebog to reveal the location of the ambush against Stone Lord. +2
- Tell Uktar "The quicker I deal with the Stone Lord [...]". +2
- When talking with Nine-Fingers Keene with Minsc in the party, use any check (Insight/Intimidation/Persuasion) to convince him that Keene isn't an enemy. +10
At the Elfsong Tavern:
- Tell Devella Fountainhead that the Flaming Fists should be protecting everyone. +1
- Agree to help Devella Fountainhead warn the victims. +1
- X: -166 Y: -75 Play with the children.
- X: -210 Y: -165 Next to the Grey Harbour Docks portal, allow the father to go with their family by purchasing a 4th berth (1000 gold) or persuade/intimidate the captain. +1
- Jaheira approves when Halsin makes a donation to Mielikki at Stormshore Tabernacle. +1
- Successfully persuade Nesha Leesha that she is in danger.
- Speaking to Araj Oblodra at Crimson Draughts, ask Astarion if he wishes to leave. +1
- Tell Rion to listen to her mother.
- Tell Rion to help the refugees.
- Tell Jaheira it was foolish to keep her family a secret.
- Tell Jaheira you understand her choice to keep her family a secret.
- Tell Jaheira she chose to keep her family secret was because she's afraid of Rion.
- As a Bard, talk to Thomas C. Quirkilious and ask him what the benefits of using lute strings made of worg hair are. +1
- Give Rags Deelarma begging outside the entrance a handful of coins. +1
- When speaking to Rakath Glitterbeard about losing innocent people's money, intimidate him into taking half the stolen gold. +1
- After the event at the Counting House, call her ancient. +5
- After fighting the Sharrans with Shadowheart, spare Viconia DeVir. +5
- Free Minsc from the Absolute's influence. +20
- Offer a tribute or a positive prayer for the death of Holli Dylford to Allandra Grey. +1
- Ask "Would you like to kill the old man, or shall I?" during the conversation with Sarevok. +5
Camp/Conversation
- When you ask how she's faring without her harpers, tell her that her "experience will be an asset" or "try to keep up." +2
- When you ask about her past experience with the Dead Three, say "Please. You're only one of those things." +3
- When you ask about what she knows about Illithids, say "Who are you speaking to? Maybe I'm the parasite, puppeting this body." or "My mind is still my own." +3
- After the event at Danthelon's Dancing Axe, agree to look for Minsc.
- After reaching Lower City, ask whether or not she is interested in Gortash's offer.
- When Jaheira greets you with "The cub speaks", call her a crow. +2
- When discussing about doppelgangers, first pass the DC 15 Nature check, then say that Orin is trying to make us paranoid. +1
- When talking about the amulet you found in her home, talk about Khalid and then tell her that "He sounds like he had true strength" +5
- Encourage Lae'zel to renounce Vlaakith once and for all.
- After agreeing to an alliance with Gortash, agree with her that Gortash needs to be taken care of but that they agreed to deal with Orin first.
- Tell Jaheira she was staring at a statue of Minsc without realizing it was him. +3
- Tell Jaheira that her sitting at Minsc's statue, not knowing it was Minsc himself is a little funny. +3
- Tell Jaheira you'll save Minsc and that it won't take a hundred years. +3
- (As the Dark Urge) Ask her to tell you what you must do when she says she has found a better way in another time.
Disapproval
The following story and dialogue choices will cause Jaheira to lose approval.

- Say "All hail the High Harper!" when you volunteer her as an assistant to Dribbles. -1
- Tell Wulbren Gortash is the enemy -not the Gondians and that you'll find another way -or- This is too messy for you.
- If contacting the Gondians, insist on refusing the bomb.
- If Orin is impersonating Gyldro Angleiron, tell her you would kill someone close to you without hesitation. -1
- Boo at Dribbles' scarecrow joke.
- Accept the Deal with the Gnomes quest from Manip Falcäo. -1
- Refuse to be arrested by the Steel Watcher at the gate between Rivington and Wyrm's Crossing. -1
- Try Hoots Hooligan's special hooch at Sharess' Caress.
- Blackmail or intimidate Fist Reynash in the barracks into giving you gold. -1
- Tell Rion "We're all going to die" when asked about their chances against the Cult.
- Intimidate Big Huido at the Grey Harbour Docks into giving you both the Guild shipment as well as his money. -1
- Tell Lorroakan that you know where the Nightsong is.
- Tell Lorna Esthelian "I'm sure he'll show up eventually.". -1
