Myconids are a non-playable race in Baldur's Gate 3.
About Myconids
Myconids are a peaceful species of sentient fungi found in the Underdark that communicate through a song-like telepathy. Groups of myconids act as a collective consciousness or hivemind. Other species may communicate with them through the ingestion of airborn spores.
They are distrustful of outsiders, but will allow shelter or passage to those who are likewise peaceful. Dangerous or violent intruders are seen as "rot".
Myconids are able to spawn more of their kind by embedding spores into corpses.
