Harper Hangfar is a gold dwarf fighter who is part of the Harpers in Act Two. He patrols the northern side of the Last Light Inn docks.

Involvement

Last Light Inn

Hangfar can be first encountered at the Last Light Inn, where he is patrolling the same northern side route of the docks area as Naysa. Speaking with Hangfar will have him reveal that he thinks that some of Harpers are at the inn are under-equipped.[1]

Resolve the Abduction

When Marcus attacks the inn and attempts to kidnap Isobel during Resolve the Abduction, Hangfar will more often than not fail the save and be Impaled Impaled for the remainder of the battle. If the party fails to protect Isobel, he and everyone in Last Light Inn will turn into a Shadow-Cursed Undead Shadow-Cursed Undead, save for Jaheira.

If Marcus has been defeated, talking with Hangfar after the battle will have him mention to the party that he played cards with Marcus, and thought they were friends.[2]

Assault Moonrise Towers

If the party successfully prevented Marcus from capturing Isobel at the Last Light Inn, and once the Nightsong has been freed from her cage and is headed for Moonrise, Hangfar will follow Jaheira to Moonrise Towers. However, Hangfar is killed during the fight against Absolute forces before the party can arrive. His corpse can be found within Moonrise Towers itself, nestled in a nook between a wall and the staircase leading down from the entrance.
