BOOOAL is a Redcap who is worshipped by the Kuo-toa of The Festering Cove as their God of Murder. The kuo-toa worship has enhanced his strength and made BOOOAL much stronger than is normal for a Redcap.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

The party can sacrifice a companion to BOOOAL, or talk their way into gaining the Sickle of BOOOAL (or BOOOAL's Blessing BOOOAL's Blessing permanently on the whole party if they already got the Sickle off of Pooldripp Pooldripp).

  • Initial dialogue offers a DC 10 Investigation check, or a Persuasion check.
    • Choosing Wait! If it's blood you want, I can make another offer. leads to a DC 20 Persuasion check, rewarding outcome #3 below or an option to sacrifice a companion.
    • *Redcaps love violence - bait him with an exaggerated tale of battle and bloodshed* ( DC 10 Performance check)
    • Are your followers aware you're just a rabid little fey creature? ( DC 15 Persuasion check)
    • #1 is exposition.
    • #2 results in a 1-on-1 fight with the BOOOAL only.
    • #3 ends the encounter diplomatically with 750 XP and the Sickle of BOOOAL.
