Sovereign Glut is a Myconid NPC in Baldur's Gate 3 and a temporary companion. He is first encountered at the Ebonlake Grotto a part of the Myconid Colony in the Underdark. Glut is Myconid Sovereign without a circle since the Duergar killed his colony.

Encounters

Glut can be found just inside the western entrance to the Ebonlake Grotto. Walking close to Glut will initiate a dialogue. Glut is interested about the home of the player. Depending on Race and Origin the player has individual dialogue options. Afterwards Glut shares his memory of his fellow Myconids slain by the duergar. If you agree to kill the duergar, Glut wants to join you to avenge his colony.

In the end Glut wants to overthrow sovereign Spaw to be the new sovereign of the myconid colony. You get the choice to either aid Glut or refuse, in which case he becomes hostile.

Combat

Glut can reanimate creature corpses as spore servants using Animating Spores Animating Spores, keeping up to one spore servant at a time. High-value targets that you can re-animate include:
