Rivington is a region in Act Three of Baldur's Gate 3. It is the southern-most district of Baldur's Gate, located on the southern shore of the River Chionthar and south of Wyrm's Crossing.

Locations[edit | edit source]

Abandoned Windmill[edit | edit source]

Main article: Abandoned Windmill

The Abandoned Windmill can be found up the hill north from the Requisitioned Barn. A blood trail leads to it, and noises can be heard coming from the cellar.

Arfur's Mansion[edit | edit source]

Main article: Arfur's Mansion

Arfur's Mansion is the home of Arfur Gregorio Arfur Gregorio, currently occupied by refugees. It can be found across the main road immediately after entering Rivington for the first time. Outside, there are Arfur and his guard arguing with the squatters. Resolving this encounter can grant Inspiration Icon.pngNeeds of the Many for Acolytes, Inspiration Icon.pngSecuring Hospitality for Folk Heroes, and Inspiration Icon.pngExerting Judgment for Nobles.

A hatch in the northeast of the mansion leads to the basement, an important location in Investigate the Suspicious Toys Investigate the Suspicious Toys.

Circus of the Last Days[edit | edit source]

The Circus of the Last Days is an extraplanar circus currently visiting Rivington, located up the road from Arfur's Mansion, and adjacent to the Open Hand Temple.

Gur Camp[edit | edit source]

Main article: Gur Camp

The Gur Camp is the temporary home to a group of Gur monster hunters, led by Ulma Ulma. It is located up the hill north from the Requisitioned Barn, near the windmill. Bearing witness to the funeral ceremony grants Inspiration Icon.pngSolemn Farewell for Outlanders. Afterwards, it is possible to initiate Investigate Cazador's Palace Investigate Cazador's Palace and advance the companion quest The Pale Elf The Pale Elf.

Open Hand Temple[edit | edit source]

The Open Hand Temple is a place of worship for Ilmater, located north of the circus and south of the South Span Checkpoint.

Inside the temple, Yannis Sister Yannis can be found arguing with Valeria Investigator Valeria. Speaking to them initiates Solve the Open Hand Temple Murders Solve the Open Hand Temple Murders. It is also possible to progress and complete Help the Cursed Monk Help the Cursed Monk and Find the Missing Letters Find the Missing Letters.

The temple contains two underground locations: Open Hand Temple Cellar and Under Temple Cave Area.

Requisitioned Barn[edit | edit source]

Main article: Requisitioned Barn

The requisitioned barn is west of the southern entrance to Rivington. It is currently in use as a storehouse for refugee donations. Donating supplies to the Flaming Fist guard, Nestor Manip Nestor, grants Inspiration Icon.pngFood for the Soul for Acolytes and Inspiration Icon.pngSharing the Spoils for Soldiers.

The tiefling child Mattis Mattis can be found outside the barn, peddling his new wares. Across from the barn is the merchant Ferg Drogher Ferg Drogher, who can be convinced to sell special stock and has notable interactions with Shadowheart Shadowheart. There are numerous minor interactions the party can have with the refugees and Baldurians surrounding the barn.

Rivington General[edit | edit source]

The Rivington General is a weapons and armour store. The master smith, Gyldro Angleiron Gyldro Angleiron, can be found at the forge upstairs. Exxvikyap Exxvikyap oversees the sale of goods in the downstairs shop.

Rivington General - Angleiron's Cellar[edit | edit source]

The cellar of the Rivington General can be accessed through a cave entrance north of the store at X: 30 Y: 29. The cellar is currently home to the Ironhand gnomes who were exiled from the city.

Rivington Well[edit | edit source]

The Rivington Well is a small location containing the bodies of several dead refugees. It can be accessed through the well across from the Open Hand Temple and between the Rivington General and South Coast Couriers.

Sword Coast Couriers[edit | edit source]

Sword Coast Couriers is a post office located across the road from the Open Hand Temple, and south of the South Span Checkpoint. Inside, Danzo Arkwright Danzo Arkwright initiates the quest Find the Missing Letters Find the Missing Letters. Meeting Commander Lightfeather grants Inspiration Icon.pngEnlisted Avian for Outlanders and Inspiration Icon.pngReporting for Duty for Soldiers.

Outside the courier office is a small fenced area with delivery dog kennels, where Scratch Scratch's original owner, Angry Mar'hyah Angry Mar'hyah, can be found.

Lens Lens, a reporter for the Baldur's Mouth Gazette can be found next to the post office. Completing her interview earns Inspiration Icon.pngPress Release for Nobles and Inspiration Icon.pngBlabbermouth for Entertainers.

South Span Checkpoint[edit | edit source]

The South Span Checkpoint is accessed by following the main road through Rivington and to Wyrm's Crossing, and serves as one access point to the crossing.

Western Beach[edit | edit source]

Main article: Western Beach

The Western Beach is an unnamed location accessed by travelling west down the path from South Span Checkpoint, or west from any access point along the shore of the Chionthar river. The beach is being used for smuggling by the Minsc Stone Lord and his men, and a ship from Moonrise Towers can be found there. The party can encounter a confrontation between the two factions here.
