Steel Watchers are a non-playable Construct race in Baldur's Gate 3. They are known for their imposing size. They almost exclusively appear in Baldur's Gate.
- With the exception of Steel Watch Titan, when Steel Watchers are close to 0
hit points they will gain the condition Detonation Impending! This is caused by the passive feature Failsafe Protocol.

Fire damage in an area around the Watcher. - For Hellfire Watchers the explosion will deal 12d12+78Fire damage in an area around the Watcher. Notably more damage than a regular Steel Watcher.
The fire damage will penetrate immunities and resistances. A 
Dexterity saving throw can be made to receive half the damage dealt.

- During the quest Disable the Steel Watch, several Hellfire Watchers and a special Steel Watch Titan can be found in Steel Watch Foundry.
- The Steel Watch Titan wields
Gontr Mael and can be looted after killing the creature. - Karlach's heart is a prototype engine for the Steel Watchers.
