Notes
- The Noblestalk found in the Underdark can be given to several different characters with different outcomes:
- If given to Derryth in the Underdark, she will have three Noblestalk for sale her shop Bonecloak's Apothecary in the Lower City, but those can not be used to restore memories.
- If given to Thulla she is cured of the Duergar Poison.
- If given to Baelen, it restores his mental faculties, revealing the person he once was.
- If given to Shadowheart, she initially refuses to consume the Noblestalk, which unlocks a new dialogue branch where the player character can attempt to convince her to eat it. If successfully persuaded via dialogue into consuming it, this triggers .
- It is possible to restore Shadowheart's memories while still preserving the Noblestalk for Derryth by removing it from the inventory of the party after initiating conversation with her, through sending it to camp or dropping it on the ground [1]. She may then still be convinced to eat it, yet not actually consume it. This is because, at this point of the game, while a check is made for the Noblestalk being in possession of the player character at the time conversation with Shadowheart begins, it does not check again after the option to persuade or intimidate her into eating it is presented.
- The Dark Urge can consume the Noblestalk, which restores a different memory depending on whether or not the player character has encountered Sceleritas Fel yet.
- An alternate version called Noblestalk Piece can be found in Act 3 in the basement of the Facemaker's Boutique. This version provides the same healing effects, but does not restore memories.
- If detonating the Bibberbang, the Noblestalk is destroyed. This only happens if the spore clouds are lit on fire. Putting out the torch and then triggering the Bibberbang (including by destroying the mushrooms) does not damage the Noblestalk.
- If thrown too far with Mage Hand, it takes damage and is destroyed.
- Drag-and-dropping it around with a Mage Hand is a safe way of moving it away from the Bibberbang.
- Destroying the mushrooms on the right hand side, walking up close, and then entering turn-based mode allows to walk over, pick up the Noblestalk and walk out before anything explodes.[Needs Verification]
- If Derryth explains that she wants the noblestalk, and then it is offered to Shadowheart, the dialogue option to give it to Derryth may still be available. If it is then selected, Derryth uses lines in the Underdark that indicate she has been given the noblestalk. However, upon reaching Baldur's Gate in Act 3, the shop is poor and Derryth says that it is failing because she never found the noblestalk that she needed. (Behavior observed as of Patch 7)[Needs Verification]

- ↑ Once the player character has the Noblestalk in their inventory, they can talk to Shadowheart and convince her to eat it. Before doing so, have one companion outside of the conversation range; the party can then get her to consume the Noblestalk while still saving it for Derryth. Once in conversation with her and the options to convince her (by persuasion or intimidation) are presented, before choosing, swap out of the conversation to the companion standing at a distance, tab to bring up all 4 companions and move the Noblestalk from the player character to the companion standing away. Close the 4 tabs and go the companion now carrying the Noblestalk; have them drop it on the ground. Go back to the player character. The conversation can proceed as normal with Shadowheart (as if she has consumed the Noblestalk) and the extra quest line with Shadowheart is unlocked while preserving the Noblestalk for Derryth.
