Spectators are a non-playable race and Aberration creature in Baldur's Gate 3. They have four eyestalks that can each cast debilitating rays. The Spectator's multiple eyestalks allow it to cast multiple rays per turn.

Spectators are a lesser type of Beholder. They are floating creatures with a single huge eye and four eyestalks from which they may cast damaging or debilitating ray attacks.

In Patch #7, the spectator gained a Legendary Action. When struck, the Spectator will accumulate stacks of Paranoid Dreams Paranoid Dreams. When it reaches 5 stacks, it will use its reaction to cast Ocular Nightmare Ocular Nightmare. The Legendary Action can be avoided by removing stacks of Paranoid Dreams, either by waiting for it to cast a ray attack or by intentionally moving close to the Spectator to trigger Panicked Sentinel Panicked Sentinel. Any ray attack reduces Paranoid Dreams counter by 1.
