“The cultists are among us, and you want to chat? Let the professionals handle this.„
Involvement
Last Light Inn
Initially on a mission led by Florrick to rescue Duke Ravengard, Thadwick and the rest of the Fists were waylaid by the dangers of the Shadow-Cursed Lands and found refuge with the Harpers at Last Light Inn. Thadwick can initially be found within the inn, in the same room as several other Fists, and Art Cullagh. He regards the party with disdain, due to their infected nature and them not being a Flaming Fist.[1]
If Florrick wasn't rescued from Waukeen's Rest in Act One, Thadwick will never appear in the game.
Resolve the Abduction
When Marcus attacks the inn and attempts to kidnap Isobel during Resolve the Abduction, Thadwick will not be affected by the condition and instead be , or will join the battle on his own without being affected by any conditions if the door to the room he is in is opened after the encounter starts. If the party fails to protect Isobel, he and everyone in Last Light Inn will turn into a , save for Jaheira.
Leaving for Baldur's Gate
After a Long Rest, Thadwick, along with Manip Vidor and Fist Cyril will depart Last Light Inn and head to Baldur's Gate with Florrick in order to seek out reinforcements; particularly reinforcements in the form of automatons unaffected by the Shadow Curse, known as the Steel Watch.
Thadwick is never seen again after this point. He is presumably killed or imprisoned upon his arrival in the city.[note 1]

Thadwick is a male dwarf and grumpy is his middle name. He's a bit rough and gruff and has little time for the player - an amateur in his eyes. He warms up to him slightly as we progress through the dialogue.
