The caverns of the Underdark.

Storehouse

The Zhentarim storehouse.

The Storehouse is located at the northeastern edge of the Underdark X: 142 Y: -104. It contains a lift that leads to the Zhentarim Hideout. The lift cannot be used until it has been enabled from inside the hideout.

Notable Loot

The Storehouse contains many crates and containers. Inside, the following types of items may be found:

• Poison
• Camp Supplies
• Jewelry

Note that the Heavy Chest near the elevator is trapped.

Dread Hollow

The sussur tree growing in the Underdark.

A large Sussur tree grows west of the Ebonlake Grotto. Several Hook Horrors and a dangerous spellcaster, Filro the Forgotten, roam the area.

• Sussur Blooms and Sussur Tree Bark can be found on the limbs of the sussur tree growing here.

Notable Loot

• Dog Collar, buried in a grave to the south overlooking the Ebonlake

Other Areas and Landmarks

Petrified Drow

Just west of the Selûnite Outpost is a cliff ledge with several Petrified Drow and a Spectator. The Spectator will attack on sight, and will use its Unpetrification Ray to free the Drow and force them to attack alongside it by inflicting them with Spectator's Charm. The Drow can be freed of this charm by damaging them, at which point they will turn friendly and fight against the Spectator.

One of the Drow, Dhourn, carries a memory shard. It contains a vision of the Adamantine Forge in Grymforge. Dhourn can be convinced to give the shard to the player, or alternatively, it can be looted from him. Activating the shard requires succeeding on an Arcana check or speaking the the password. Dhourn can also be persuaded to provide the password, or if he is dead, he will tell the player if Speak with Dead is cast on him.

The petrified Drow can be unpetrified using Basilisk Oil.

Phalar Aluve

The sword in the stone.

A mysterious and magical Drow blade stands vigil alone, embedded in a slab of marked stone X: 116 Y: -192. This blade can be found by leaving the Selûnite Outpost and taking the first left along the path.

Succeed on a Strength or Religion check to retrieve the sword and receive:

Wandering Minotaurs

North of the Selûnite Outpost X: 158 Y: -146 are two wandering Minotaurs. When defeated, one of them will be carrying Amulet of the Unworthy.

• This is also where the Whispering Depths entrance to the Underdark will take the player, atop the staircase of mushrooms.
