{{R|name=ki}} is a resource specific to Monk. It is the magic that flows through all living beings, and is used to cast certain abilities that the Monk class can learn.
At level 1, the Monk starts with 2 charges of {{R|name=ki}}, and gain one more every subsequent level. Expended Charges can be restored by taking a short rest, or, if the Monk's subclass is {{SmIconLink|Class Monk Four Elements Hotbar Icon.png|Way of the Four Elements}}, at  level 3 they can use {{SmIconLink|Spell HarmonyOfFireAndWater.png|Harmony of Fire and Water}}, otherwise if the Monk's subclass is {{SmIconLink|Class Monk Open Hand Hotbar Icon.png|Way of the Open Hand}}, at level 6 they can use {{SmIconLink|Wholeness of Body Icon.png|Wholeness of Body}}.
