Boot of the Giants is a Giant barbarian class action that allows them to send enemies flying with a swift kick.

Description

Try to kick a target away. Your chances depend on your Athletics, and are higher if you're hidden or invisible.

You can kick a target up to twice the weight that Shoving Shoving them would allow.[See Notes]

Notes

  • Like Shove Shove, this ability involves a contested Athletics check. Refer to Shove roll for details on how this is calculated.
  • This ability uses your unarmed damage, but does not add your Strength modifier. Typically, this means it will deal 1 damage but it can be increased.
  • This ability cannot target enemies who are too heavy or immune to shoving such as Ethereal Ethereal creatures. Thus, the kick cannot even be used to deal damage against such targets.
  • As with shove, the maximum weight of a creature that can be moved is Strength score × Multiplier.
    • For Boot of the Giants, this multiplier is 24 always.[1]
    • For Shove, the multiplier is 12 normally, 5.1 when Reduced Reduced, and 28.2 when Enlarged Enlarged.
