Becoming Partially-Illithid

Once you leave Act II and move your camp to Wyrm's Crossing, you will be attacked by Githyanki monks upon long rest. After the fight, the Emperor will offer you the Astral-Touched Tadpole. If you open your mind to (or eat) it, you will undergo a partial transformation. Your appearance will change, but non-party NPCs will not make any comment about it. After doing this, you may offer companions the Astral-Touched Tadpole as well; but they will require a persuasion check.

Partial-Illithid Bonuses

You will immediately gain access to the following powers if you did not already have them:

Concentrated Blast

Favourable Beginnings

Force Tunnel

Psionic Overload

Transfuse Health

You will also immediately gain Illithid Flight as well as access to exclusive Partial-Illithid powers (though these will require additional Mind Flayer Parasite Specimens):

Absorb Intellect

Black Hole

Displacer Beast Shape

Fracture Psyche

Freecast

Illithid Expertise

Mind Blast

Mind Sanctuary

Psionic Dominance
