Template:CompanionTab Minthara Baenre is a Drow Paladin of the Absolute who is a potential Companion or antagonist in Baldur's Gate 3. She can be found at the Shattered Sanctum inside the Goblin Camp, planning an attack on the Druid Grove in the name of the Absolute. If helped, the player can start a brief Romance with her.
Personality
Being a Drow and follower of the Absolute, Minthara has a highly hostile and cruel attitude towards other beings, considering pretty much everyone as inferior. She has a special disdain for those who do not share her beliefs, and as a drow noble, she holds drow characters in high regard.
Despite her apparent devotion, a player who romances her can find that she has doubts regarding the Absolute and its actions.

Gameplay
If Minthara is recruited as a companion, she will already have access to several Illithid Powers, specifically Favourable Beginnings, Charm, Concentrated Blast, and Psionic Backlash.
Minthara also possesses an ability completely unique to herself:
.Recruitment
Although Minthara can be encountered in Act One, she cannot join the player's party as a permanent companion before reaching Moonrise Towers.
- Minthara is first found at the Goblin Camp, planning an attack on Emerald Grove. The player can choose to help her raid the Emerald Grove, but helping her in this instance is not required for recruitment. However, defeating her during "Defeat the Goblins" – whether by killing her or by knocking her out – will prevent her from appearing again.
- Note that raiding the Grove with Minthara will cause Karlach and Wyll to permanently leave the player's party. If the player desires to recruit Minthara, Karlach, and Wyll into their party with none leaving, they can accomplish this by not defeating Minthara or raiding the grove with her; ignoring the quests that ask for these tasks to be accomplished.
- If not defeated by the player, Minthara is next encountered in Moonrise Towers, where she is sentenced to death by Ketheric Thorm for failing to retrieve the Mysterious Artefact. Afterwards, she can be found in the Moonrise Prison. If the player helps her escape, she will visit the player's camp and ask to join their party.

If the player allows Balthazar to take the Nightsong, he will be tasked with abducting Isobel. Letting her get killed or knocked out will grant the player an audience with Ketheric Thorm who will allow the player to pray at the altar of the Absolute. Doing so will result in the player being imprisoned in a pod in the Mind Flayer Colony where Balthazar will try to recycle the player and his party into zombies. In the fight that ensues the player will find Zombie Dror Ragzlin (unless he survived Act One) and Zombie Minthara (if she died in Act One or if the player didn't rescue her from her prison in Act Two).
