Spiders are a type of arthropod who can create Web Web surfaces. They all have the passive abilities Darkvision Darkvision and Web Walker Web Walker.

Spider are often kept by Drow, as familiars or mounts. The most influential drow goddess, Lolth, is also known as the Queen of Spiders. Cultures that revere Lolth forbid killing spiders.

Non-hostile Spiders can be spoken to using Speak with Animals Speak with Animals. A spider companion, Aranea (Wolf Spider Companion) Aranea (Wolf Spider Companion), is available to Beast Master Beast Masters.
