Overview

Esther is an adventurer under the employ of the Society of Brilliance, with her current goal trying to acquire a Githyanki egg as part of a long-term nurturing experiment.

Involvement

Act One

Upon meeting Esther, she will ask the player to help in stealing an egg from the Githyanki Crèche inside Rosymorn Monastery. A forward payment can be asked for taking the job at a DC 21 Persuasion check, earning at least 200 gold with no effect on companion approval.

She can be instead given an Owlbear Egg and either convinced into believing it's the right egg ( DC 21 Nature check), deceived to believe that the egg is more valuable to her ( DC 21 Deception check), or persuaded into having to trick her employers ( DC 21 Persuasion check).

Act Three

If she was given a genuine Githyanki Egg in Act One, Esther can be found dead at the docks of The Lodge, murdered by Ptaris Ptaris who hatched from it. Several notes can be found along the docks about how she and her employer subjected the Githyanki to an abusive upbringing until he finally snapped and killed them in retaliation.
