Reclaim the Blue Jay's Nest is a quest in Act One of Baldur's Gate 3. It can be started by speaking with Blue Jay at Rosymorn Monastery Trail.
Objectives
Objectives and journal entries may vary pending story decisions and outcomes.
Walkthrough
The Blue Jay can be found along the trail leading between the cable car stops X: -57 Y: -19. If spoken to using Speak with Animals, the Blue Jay will ask the party to get rid of the giant eagles that have stolen its nest on the roof of Rosymorn Monastery.
Once the party defeats the Giant Eagle and Ancient Giant Eagle, they can return to the Blue Jay, who will mark a treasure location on their map as Blue Jay's Find at X: -5 Y: -29.
Quest rewards
10 experience and a random assortment of low-value items looted from the buried chest at the marked location.
Notes
- The buried chest can be revealed at any point by passing a DC 25 Survival check, or simply digging at that location.
- If the Eagles are defeated using non-lethal damage, the Blue Jay will swoop in and kill them while they are incapacitated.
- The Blue Jay can reveal through dialogue that it has stolen the nest it is currently inhabiting. Additionally, since Giant Eagles are Neutral Good aligned in Dungeons and Dragons 5E, and their nest is too big for the Blue Jay, it is implied that the Jay is trying to steal the Eagles' nest.
