Bonus action is one type of Resource available to characters during their turn. Bonus Actions can be used to execute various abilities, such as Shove, Dip or casting certain Spells. Self-target actions such as drinking Potions or applying weapon coatings are also performed with a Bonus Action.
Characters normally receive one Bonus Action per turn. Some Class abilities such as a Thief Rogue's Fast Hands passive feature or a Way of the Open Hand Monk's Wholeness of Body Class Action grant additional bonus actions. Some magical items, such as Pyroquickness Hat, conditionally grant an additional bonus action.
