Xan (BG1)[edit source]

If the party successfully secured Gith egg, didn't give it to Esther, and Lae'zel confronted Vlaakith (or stayed neutral) and took the egg, she will appear in the epilogue. The player might ask her of the fate of the egg then. Laezel will say that a male gith youth has hatched from it, and that she called him Xan - 'Freedom', and that she left him with some mages to educate. I'm pretty sure this is another reference to BG1, but don't know what's the best way to include it in the article Arikel (talk) 06:22, 16 May 2024 (CEST)Reply[reply]

A good hint! Thank you.
I'll try to include it in the article this evening. Hawkeye (talk) 10:33, 16 May 2024 (CEST)Reply[reply]
I just spotted it out because the name is quite an oddity for other Gith names in the game. I hadn't have a chance to play BG1 myself, only read the lore Arikel (talk) 11:49, 16 May 2024 (CEST)Reply[reply]
The name could be coincidence. But it's worth to mention it in the article which I've done now. I also restructered the article to make the info fit better. Hawkeye (talk) 20:32, 16 May 2024 (CEST)Reply[reply]

Balthazar[edit source]

Balthazar is listed as a "character[s] from Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 appearing as NPCs", but it's pretty clear this is not the same Balthazar (for starters, the Balthazar from BG2 was Good, or at least Lawful enough that you could convince him to team up against the BBEG, and he had no necromantic tendencies whatsoever). If you ask the necromancer about it, he'll reveal he took some of Balthazar's bones (and presumably his name), but he's not the same person or even animating the same body, so I think he should instead be placed under "Characters from Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 which are referenced" (and in the spirit of being bold, I went ahead and made that change).
