The following formula is used to calculate purchase prices from Traders<ref>https://www.reddit.com/r/BaldursGate3/comments/15no8x4/comment/jyl8k13/</ref>:
Merchant prices are calculated by either multiplying (in the case of buying) or dividing (in the case of selling) the item's value by a factor determined by:

<small>ItemValue * (2.5 - Persuasion/10 - Attitude/200)</small>
* the [[difficulty]] setting
* the character's Persuasion
* and the merchant's [[Attitude]] <ref>https://www.reddit.com/r/BaldursGate3/comments/15rcyhm/ive_decoded_merchant_pricing/</ref>

They will buy wares from the player for:
Pricing factor = D - Persuasion/10 - Attitude/200

Where D is either 2.0, 2.5, or 3.0 depending on difficulty setting.

The game will not allow the pricing factor to reduce below 1.0 (one).

<small>ItemValue / (2.5 - Persuasion/10 - Attitude/200)
</small>
