Mystic Carrion: Difference between revisions

Carrion asks the party what they are doing because they do not have an appointment. He explains that he is a spirit medium who works with wealthy clients in the [[Upper City]]. Carrion believes the party is too poor to seek his services, but asking "Is there anything I can do for you?" will get his attention. He does indeed have a job - seeking out his lost servant, [[Thrumbo]].  

This starts the quest [[Find Mystic Carrion's Servant]]. If the party chooses to ally with [[Thrumbo]] and destroy any of Mystic Carrion's organs, then he will become hostile and attack them as soon as they return to Philgrave's Mansion. Likewise if the party has destroyed any of Mystic Carrion's organs before ever meeting him, he will be immediately hostile.

If the party 'kills' Mystic Carrion before destroying {{RarityItem|Jar of Mystic Carrion's Heart}} and then takes a long rest, Carrion will resurrect himself, destroy [[Thrumbo]] and his friends, and hide his heart in the basement of Philgrave's Mansion.

If the party started the quest [[Search the Cellar]] and obtained or read [[Necromancy of Thay|The Necromancy of Thay]], Mystic Carrion offers his services of spirit channeling for 1500 gold. If accepted, the spirits tell of another book called [[The Tharchiate Codex]] located in [[Sorcerous Sundries]], which they claim is key to unlocking the power of The Necromancy of Thay.
