Yul

Yul can be found dead along the Mountain Pass in Act One.

Act One

Yul's corpse is west of Waukeen's Rest along the Mountain Pass at X: -140 Y: 559. Using  Speak with Dead can reveal that he and Zorru were scouting for a path to Baldur's Gate when they were ambushed by a githyanki patrol. Zorru fled, leaving Yul to fend for himself. If Lae'zel speaks to Zorru at the Emerald Grove in  Find the Githyanki Crèche, Zorru reveals that a githyanki jammed its blade through Yul's belly, straight to the other side.

A dead tiefling can also be found in the Blighted Village. The ogres who killed and ate her claim that she came from the east, calling for Yul.

Speak with Dead

Yul can be spoken to with  Speak with Dead.

Party member: Who are you?

• Yul: Yul... son of Gara...
  • Party member: Yul? Then you are Zorru's friend?
    • Yul: Fellow scout... druids' grove...
      • Party member: Were you and Zorru scouting alone?
        • Yul: Yes... Zorru fled... left me to fight...
  • Party member: Where can I find the gith crèche?
    • Narrator: *The corpse remains silent. It does not know.*

Party member: How did you die?

• Yul: Monstrous warriors... keen swords... black spots...
• Lae'zel (if present in the party): He crossed blades with a githyanki. Few survive the ordeal. Fewer still claim victory.
  • Party member: Where did this monstrous warrior come from?
    • Yul: Mountain pass...

Party member: What were you doing here?

• Yul: Seeking path... Baldur's Gate...
  • Party member: Did you find the way to Baldur's Gate?
    • Yul: Risen road... cross wooden bridge...

Party member: What was your profession?

• Yul: Miller... in Elturel... before its fall...
