Trynn

Trynn is a Halfling companion of Anders, who is hunting Karlach with her companions in The Risen Road.

Involvement

Trynn can be encountered in in the Risen Road Toll House. She and Cyrel are companions of Anders', who is apparently sworn to Tyr. If Karlach is a party member, then Trynn, Anders,and Cyril become hostile. When questioned about any gold left in the Tollhouse, Trynn will reveal that there is a locked door in the basement.

Attacks and abilities

 Ensnaring Strike ()

Normal weapon damage Your attack summons thorny vines, dealing Weapon Damage and possibly Ensnaring your target. Ensnared creatures cannot move and take 1d6Piercing damage at the start of each turn. An ally can use their Help Action to try and tear away the vines.

 Hunter's Mark ()

Mark a creature as your quarry to deal an additional 1d6Weapon damage whenever you hit it with a weapon attack.

If the target dies before the spell ends, you can use  Reapply Hunter's Mark to mark a new creature.

 Range: 18 m / 60 ft

 Main Hand Attack ()   –  Dagger

Normal weapon damage Make a melee attack with your equipped weapon.

 Melee: 1.5 m / 5  ft

 Ranged Attack ()   –  Shortbow

Normal weapon damage Make a ranged attack with your equipped weapon.

 Range: 18 m / 60 ft

Trynn will occasionally chat with Anders:

Anders: Cut it out. There's worse than gnolls out there.

• Trynn: Nothing we need to worry about.
  • Anders: How about a dragon? Would that worry you?
    • Trynn: I'd give it a bloody good fight, that's for sure.
      • Anders: Ha! Only thing you'd give a dragon is bad gas.
