Ellyka

Ellyka is a tiefling scout encountered to the west of Waukeen's Rest near the entrance to the Mountain Pass during Act One.

Involvement

Risen Road

Ellyka is initially neutral, but can become hostile if provoked.

Conversation

Ellyka will warn the character she is speaking to about a group of Githyanki up ahead. However, Ellyka is 'less friendly' to a party member using a Githyanki racial appearance. She will refer to that party member as a 'flatface' and a few unique dialogue choices are available to select.

• While speaking to Ellyka with a Githyanki appearance, she will attack the party if selecting any of:
  • "They may be my kin. I will investigate."
  • "First and last warning - lower that weapon."

Crèche Y'llek

Ellyka can later be found dead at Crèche Y'llek. Using speak with dead you can discover she travelled to Rosymorn looking for the Blood of Lathander, and was captured and tortured by the Githyanki for information on Moonrise.

Speak with Dead

Ellyka can be spoken to through the use of  Speak with Dead.

• Ellyka: Ellyka... scout...

Party member: Where are you from?

• Ellyka: Elturel... near Maiden's Bridge...
• Ellyka: Exiled... lost everything...

Party member: How did you end up here?

• Ellyka: Road to Baldur's Gate... blocked...
• Ellyka: Took new path... found monastery... remembered...
  • Party member: What did you remember?
    • Ellyka: A rhyme... Blood of Lathander... hidden... guarded by monks...
    • Ellyka: Decided to... look for it...
      • Party member: How does this rhyme go?
        • Ellyka: East... west... blood is blessed...
        • Ellyka: Beneath... sun... it finds... its rest...
      • Party member: What is the Blood of Lathander?
        • Ellyka: Powerful relic... valuable... wanted to sell... start again...
      • Party member: Where can I find this Blood?
        • Ellyka: Hidden... inside... couldn't find...

Party member: Who killed you?

• Ellyka: Githyanki... slowly... painfully...
  • Party member: What did they want with you?
    • Ellyka: Absolute... Moonrise... couldn't understand...

Notes

• When Ellyka's corpse is encountered later, she will be level 5 and have an Extra Attack.
• While in combat with Ellyka, it is still possible for a character to move into the trigger zone for the usual cutscene that occurs at the Mountain Pass area. This will abruptly end the combat encounter, and Ellyka will run away from the location, but remain marked as "hostile."^{[Needs Verification]}
