Bloated Hyena is a variant of Hyena found on The Risen Road. They serve as incubators to Newborn Gnolls and will give birth in a grisly eruption if not dispatched quickly.

Attacks and abilities

All Bloated Hyenas are affected by two conditions:

•  Bloated
  • Permanently applied, preventing the hyena from taking any actions until they explode from gnollbirth.
•  Yeenoghu's Hunger
  • Duration: 2 turns: If not killed before 2 turns, the hyena bursts and a Newborn Gnoll emerges from its corpse.

Notes

• Allowing the hyena to be consumed by  Yeenoghu's Hunger allows for maximum experience gained. You will gain 20 experience as though you killed it normally, then can defeat the Newborn Gnoll for an additional 40 experience.
