Barbarian

Barbarian is a class in Baldur's Gate 3. Barbarians use their martial prowess and primal rage to strengthen themselves and dominate enemies in combat.

Key abilities
Strength Strength for improved attack rolls and damage with melee weapons.
Dexterity Dexterity for higher initiative and Armour Class
Constitution Constitution for more hit points and unarmoured Armour Class.

You receive a bonus to every Skill that you are Proficient in. At character level 1 the Proficiency Bonus is +2.

Level progression[edit | edit source]

Level 1

Rage Rage
While Raging, you gain the following:
Your rage lasts for 10 turns and ends early if you haven't attacked a creature or been attacked or you decide to end your Rage. You cannot cast spells or concentrate while raging.
Rage Charges: 2
The number of times you can Rage per day. Replenished by long rest.
Unarmoured Defence Unarmoured Defence
When not wearing armour, add your Constitution modifier to your Armour Class in addition to your Dexterity modifier.

Level 2

Reckless Attack Reckless Attack
Until your next turn, you have advantage on all attack rolls, but enemies also have advantage on attack rolls against you.
Danger Sense Danger Sense
You have advantage on Dexterity saves against traps, spells and surfaces while not Blinded Blinded or Incapacitated Incapacitated.

Level 3

Rage Charges: 3
Gain an additional Rage Charge. You can now Rage more times per long rest.

You can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.
Fast Movement Fast Movement
Your movement speed increases by 3 m / 10 ft while not wearing heavy armour.

Gain an additional Rage Charge. You can now Rage more times per long rest.

Once per short rest, if you drop to 0 hit point while Enraged, you regain 1 hit points instead of being Downed Downed
