Brem can be frequently overheard having conversations with his younger brother, Garias, mostly revolving around Oskar Fevras and art. These conversations tend to highlight an intellectual rift between the two brothers, with Garias not knowing there are paintings in museums or what the word "muse" means. However, this difference is not reflected in their stats, with both brothers having an Intelligence score of 12.

The player cannot both take the chest and spare Rugan if they wish to have any of the above items; without Zarys' approval, they will not be available to pickpocket, loot from his corpse, or purchase.
