Olly
Involvement[edit | edit source]
The party will find Olly and Rugan taking shelter in a cave while under attack from Flind and their gnoll pack.
As the group leader, Rugan will not fully engage with the party until the Gnolls have been defeated. After the battle Rugan will thank the party for their help and reveal that they are a caravan carrying cargo to Baldur's Gate.
During this interaction the party can recognise that Rugan (and Olly) are part of the Zhentarim merchant network. In any case he will give the party the password for entering the Zhentarim Hideout at Waukeen's Rest.
It's possible to persuade or intimidate Rugan into handing over the contents of the chest they are protecting in the cave.
If taking the contents of the chest, either through intimidation or stealth, Olly's corpse will be found at the Zhentarim Hideout, having been killed for his failure. He can be spoken to by using 
. He then provides his name and affiliation.

- Despite being a ranger, and having 3 spell slots, Olly does not have any ranger abilities or spells to make use of.
