Abdirak is a human servant of the Maiden of Pain, Loviatar. He can be found at the Bloodied Shrine inside the Goblin Camp during Act One.

Encounters

Abdirak resides inside the Shattered Sanctum next to the torture room. He offers the player peace and serenity through pain. If accepted, Abdirak will strike the player several times. If he is pleased with their performance, he will bless them with the Permanent Bonus  Loviatar's Love. In order to gain this bonus, you will need to be hit three times and pass each subsequent performance/intimidation roll or fail the Constitution roll while staying above 40% hit points.

Defeat the Goblins

Abdirak will leave the sanctum if the goblin leaders are killed.

• You can read On Receiving Her Grace on the nearby table to unlock a dialogue option "I saw your book. Let me try some of those techniques." which will allow you to choose which tool, mace, knife, or axe, he uses and changes the damage type inflicted to Bludgeoning, Piercing, or Slashing respectively.
  • If you've ventured into the Underdark and obtained the Amulet of the Unworthy from one of the Minotaurs (easiest access via the Zhentarim Basement), you can combine the amulet's Slashing resistance with the axe option to reduce the damage taken, but not the DC required to pass, or you can simply cast Blade Ward.
