Intelligence is an ability score and the primary ability of wizards.
Memory and mental power.
Intelligence affects your Arcana, History, Investigation, Nature, and Religion skills. It also improves spellcasting for wizards, Eldritch Knights and Arcane Tricksters, by increasing the chance of hitting an enemy with spell attack rolls, due to the increased Difficulty Class of spells with saving throws.
