Involvement[edit | edit source]

Ch'r'ai Tska'an and her group of Githyanki will ambush the party as they are approaching the caption = Road to Baldur's Gate Road to Baldur's Gate X: -263 Y: -37 Waypoint. Carrying the Qua'nith Psionic Detector, whether gifted by Voss Voss or looted off his corpse, allows the player to more easily spot their ambush and surprise the raiding party.

If the party was not marked for death by Vlaakith Vlaakith, Tska’an and her entourage will not appear at the ambush spot. If this is the case, Tska'an can be fought in the Knights of the Shield Hideout in Act Three as part of the quest Visit the Emperor's Old Hideout Visit the Emperor's Old Hideout.

In combat, Tska'an functions as a gish and a warlock.

Tactics[edit | edit source]

  • An effective way to begin the fight is using spells like Enhance Leap Enhance Leap, Misty Step Misty Step, or Dimension Door Dimension Door to get the entire party onto the top of the archway and begin focusing attacks on the raiders. Alternatively, the party can sneak their way onto the archway via a path to the north before the githyanki appear and surprise surprise them. The warriors below will be forced to waste a turn or two taking the long way around or using Enhance Leap to follow with a jump.
  • While Tska'an herself is immune to the Shadow curse, her allies can all be affected by it. Retreating deeper into the town of Reithwin will cause the darker shadows to extinguish the Light Light spell on their weapons, causing them to take damage from the curse every turn. However, if they die to the curse in this way then they will be revived with half health as Shadow-Cursed Undead Shadow-Cursed Undead. If they die to the curse, then they will be hostile to everyone, including Tska’an.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Tska'an displays the abilities of an Undead Patron Warlock despite the fact that this Warlock subclass is not available to player characters.
