This is gonna be a BIG PROJECT[edit source]

So. I know this wiki is going to be hungry to add "ending" information as people begin discovering things. How the hells do we want to go about recording it, when there are so many different scenes, for so many different characters? ArcaneFocus (talk) 06:45, 6 October 2023 (CEST)Reply[reply]

Suggestion - Wording that describes the "maybe" cases, vs. "down to the last detail" accuracy[edit source]

I wanted to call out some of the wordings I've been using -- Some of these outcomes may eventually be too hard to explain if we nitpick into every possible inter-variation.

I am not a mod. Please refer to the official Help:Style_Guide for "official guidance" -- I just wanted to drop suggested wording here in case you as a contributor are feeling stuck.

Wordy stuff:

  • "may" - More inclusive of possibilities we don't know about yet.
    • "options may include"
    • "may have the opportunity"
    • "enemy may apppear"
  • "opportunity to give input" - If the player can make a conversation choice during a scene that is mostly otherwise just watching automatic stuff happen.
  • "plausibly a factor" - For cases where your memories are like "I swear I've seen this happen but I can't remember exactly where" (or you don't have like, screenshots or something to back it up) but MUST include
    {{Verify}}
    at the end of the sentence.
    • We can treat these as suggestions for other contributors to explore these options and prove or disprove what is initially marked as "plausible." This page is going to need a lot of work by multiple people before we ever make it into "being accurate."

Approval stuff:

  • My preferred approach here would be to avoid marking Approval-related triggers unless we, personally, have experienced this specific outcome while Approval is at a specific value, and to specify numbers if you know them going into the final fights. If you don't know them, use more vague language.

I fully expect that some people will disagree with me. Once again, I just wanted to share what seemed useful to me. ArcaneFocus (talk) 21:35, 6 October 2023 (CEST)Reply[reply]
