Act One
SpoilerWarning
Barth is one of the adventurers who is ambushed by Goblins at the beginning of Act One outside of the Emerald Grove. If he survives the battle and remains in the Grove, Meli will steal his Brass Locket, causing Barth to confront him.
If he survives the Goblin attack and stays in the Druid Grove, he will have his mother's Brass Locket stolen by Meli and will chase and confront him. Depending on the player's intervention, he can leave in anger, decide to give the locket to Meli, or slap Meli, the latter of which might lead to an altercation with Ikaron.

The party can side with Meli or Barth. If they decide to side with Meli:
* Gale Wyll Karlach
* Gale Wyll Karlach
* Gale Wyll Karlach
* Gale Wyll Karlach
* Gale Wyll Karlach

If the party decide to side with Barth:
* You better do what he says, boy.
*
*
* Lae'zel Wyll Karlach
*
*
*
*

Alternatively, the party can opt to do nothing, which will lead to an altercation where Barth slaps Meli, who will then call for Ikaron.
* I tried to give you a chance. You're on your own. Wyll Karlach
* Keep quiet and watch. Wyll Karlach

If Ikaron joins, he will question why Barth is threatening a child. The party can either allow Meli to keep the locket or force Meli to return it. If the party allow Meli to keep it:
*
*
*

If the party force Meli to return the locket:
*
*
*
*

If the player allows Meli to take the locket, it can later be recovered from the Tiefling Hideout and returned to Barth. He will then give backstory about the locket and its importance to him.
If the party allows Meli to take the locket, it can be recovered from the Tiefling Hideout and returned to Barth. If the player character passes an Ability Check, Barth will explain the locket's origin and importance.

The player can further request the locket back from Barth after hearing his story. If the player presses him for the locket it will result in Barth and his crew becoming hostile and attacking the party.

If Aradin's adventuring group left the Grove, they are ambushed by goblins on the way to the Blighted Village. Barth and Aradin are the only survivors and will leave after speaking to the party. Barth does not show up again.
