The Hollow is a Location within the Emerald Grove in Act One of Baldur's Gate 3. It is the section of the Emerald Grove that most of the tiefling refugees reside in, and the primary way of accessing the Tiefling Hideout.

Overview[edit | edit source]

The Hollow is a connective hub area for the Emerald Grove. In addition to providing easy access to other areas of the Grove, it is home to several different traders and other important characters. It is also one of the locations where Shadowheart Shadowheart and Wyll Wyll can be recruited as companions, provided they have not yet joined the party.

  • Speaking to the tiefling children training to fight.
  • Speaking to the man and the child arguing over a stolen locket.
  • Speaking to the tiefling child trying to sell goods.
  • Speaking to Aradin about why they went to the goblin camp.
  • Speaking to the three arguing tieflings about if they should leave or not.
  • Speaking to Komira as you head into the Sacred grove about her daughter.
  • Speaking to the rat using Speak with Animals Speak with Animals who has chipped a tooth on an 'evil thing'.

Hidden treasures[edit | edit source]

  • The haystack near the two oxen tended by Toron Toron. To reveal this location, party members who are under the effect of Speak with Animals Speak with Animals may talk to the Bored Ox Bored Ox or pass a DC 7 Perception check.
  • Past the oxen, where Doni Doni loiters, a pair of Metallic Gloves are lying on the horse cart. They can be picked up without it counting as stealing. The locked travel-worn chest next to the cart also contains useful loot.
  • Behind the storage shed where Pandirna Pandirna is located, there is a pouch on the ground containing loot. The player character can access the storage either by lockpicking the front door (a forbidden action) or climbing through the roof along the rear via the Makeshift Prison. Caution: there are exploding plants along this path that are only revealed by an ability check.
