Shovel can be spoken to while summoned.

Summon your adorable, occasionally violent, and above all faithful companion, Boo, you gain Bite Bite.

He's unique as when thrown by the player he has a chance to inflict blind to the target (a reference to Minsc's quote "Go for the eyes, Boo!").

Only Minsc may summon Boo, and he cannot be summoned alongside other normal Ranger familiars.

Summon the best boy. Scratch's keen nose can discover many things hidden around the world, you gain Bite Bite, and Help Help. Death of the summoned Scratch does not affect Camp Follower Scratch, and he can be summoned again.

Scratch can not be summoned in camp

Any character with Scratch's Ball can summon Scratch. Scratch will automatically be dismissed if his summoner returns to camp.
